Healthcare Tele-Town Hall

Rep. Shuster and Rep. Boustany take questions from callers

Congressman Shuster just wraped-up a telephone town hall on healthcare from his Washington, DC office. He was joined in the call by his colleague, Congressman Charles Boustany of Louisiana. Congressman Boustany has a unique perspective on the healthcare issue because of his extensive medical background. Before his election to Congress, Dr. Boustany was one oa renowned cardiovascular surgeon in Louisiana. In the House of Representatives, Congressman Boustany serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over any legislation that requires revenue generation through taxation.

Over the course of the town hall, over 9,000 9th district residents took part by listening-in and asking questions. Congressman Shuster thanks those who took part in today's call.
